As turbines become ever taller a new approach to personal evacuation and rescue was demanded and the results are the Solo X, the smallest, lightest easiest to use personal rescue device available today
Reducing complexity, reduces risk
Automated and intuitive
RESQ Solo X is fully automatic device—similar to the CRD (constant rate descent) devices, the difference is it can fit in your pocket. Engineered to eliminate human error when every second counts,
the Solo X requires no complex set-up, lengthy training or long winded inspection.
Simply secure an anchor point, attach Solo X to your harness, and you’re
ready for a safe descent.
The world’s smallest lightest personal rescue device
With Solo X, every worker is equipped with their own kit, providing the means for independent, immediate, and adaptable escape and self-rescue. No bigger than a smartphone and incredibly user- friendly, the Solo X is fully self-activated and allows safe descents automatically during an emergency.
Evacuate up to 300 meters
At 300 meters, compromise isn’t an option. The RESQ Solo X , the world’s smallest and lightest evacuation device, ensures you’re always prepared to act fast when every second counts.
RESQ Solo X dramatically reduces evacuation time by being readily accessible and self-activating. Its intuitive design ensures easy use, providing a clear evacuation plan and significantly enhancing user safety.
Engineered for the extreme
“We’ve tested this device to ensure it will always work”
Jesper Lindquist, Product Manager RESQ .
Durable, high quality construction
Made from high-quality materials that can withstand harsh working environments, including extreme weather conditions. Crafted for the harshest Nordic conditions, yet suitable for worldwide use, certified for use at -40ºF to +140ºF.
Certified Safety
Certified according to CE marking standards in Europe and ANSI standards in the USA (EN 341:2011 – 1D ANSI Z359.4:2013). Approvals are subject to change without notice and may differ based on configuration, part number, and/or country. Contact Customer Service or check the approval label on the product for specific approval information.
Real world tested
Cresto are committed to going “Beyond Compliance” with every product and the Solo X is no exception. Thousands of descents from the highest turbines have been conducted, Cresto engineers have tried every conceivable method of tangling the rope and the Solo X always performs.
Small and lightweight
As small as your phone and as light as a laptop, you’ll hardly notice you’re carrying it. With a super-thin, high- performance line (4.8 mm in diameter and only 16.5g/m), the whole Solo X kit is ultra-lightweight and compact.
Design eliminates rope knots and twisting
An integrated swivel reduces the risk of rope twist during use. Whilst the coreless rope reduces the risk of ’ghost knots,’ contributing to a safer descent.
Efficient packaging
The Solo X packaging solution is designed with convenience and efficiency in mind. It is easy to open, requiring no knives, and lightweight for easy transport. The package is organized for simple annual inspections, saving you time. Equipment is pre-configured and packed for quick access. The bag is made of a durable material to withstand tough conditions.
High performance braking system
The advanced centrifugal brake system is designed with cutting-edge technology and high-quality components, ensuring 100% mechanical integrity with minimal moving parts. The system provides optimal friction for deviation points, allowing adaptation and controlled descent in all environments. A separate brake housing protects the brake mechanism and its functionality, while a heat protector shields the user from burn injuries. Verified performance ensures the system is always tested beyond compliance, guaranteeing reliability and safety.
